How the Daily Challenge works
Every calendar day has one numbered challenge: two or three short phrases, the same for every visitor on that date. The day changes at your local midnight, so the challenge number tells you and a friend whether you typed the same text, even across time zones.
There is no countdown. The clock counts up from your first keystroke and stops when you finish the text. Try as often as you like: only your best score for the day is kept, and the strip above shows your last seven days.
Finishing the challenge always counts as a streak day, however short the text. Daily scores are kept apart from your personal bests, because the text changes every day and a best should compare like with like. For a number you can track over time, use the 1-minute typing test.
Everything is stored in this browser. The share button makes a card with the challenge number and your speed, which is the easy way to compare. New to this? How typing streaks work explains streak days and freezes, and the lessons are the place to build accuracy first.
