Lessons work best with a physical keyboard. The full finger guide appears on tablets and wider.
About this lesson
The second half of the number row belongs to the right hand. The digits near the centre are the awkward ones, because the index finger has to travel up and inwards.
As before, the lines mix numbers with words. Short groups of digits are easier to hold in mind than long ones, so read each group as a unit. Take them at half your usual pace.
Hand position
- Use the right hand for these digits, with the same finger as the key below.
- The reach for the middle of the row is long; let the hand move a little.
- Find the bump on the home row with your index finger when you come back.
This lesson is defined by its characters rather than by key position, so it is the same on every keyboard layout. It takes about 3 minutes: six short lines, passed at 92% accuracy. Speed is not part of the pass mark.
